Event Description

Richard Walter, screenwriter and novelist, will discuss the essentials for having success as a writer for the screen and in print. Richard is a celebrated storytelling guru, movie industry expert, and longtime chairman of UCLA’s legendary graduate program in screenwriting. Widely viewed as a pop culture critic and media pundit, Richard has appeared multiple times on The Today Show, The O’Reilly Factor, ABC Primetime, and CBS News Nightwatch. Richard’s books include the novel Escape from Film School, plus The Whole Picture: Strategies for Screenwriting Success in the New Hollywood and his latest, Essentials of Screenwriting. The event is free and open to the public.
