I have just been informed that a friend's in law was in Vegas over the Weekend to see her sister.  She was in her 30's and was found dead of  Sickle Cell Anemia yesterday.  

I know you all are busy, but everyone you know should be on board to help stop this kind of disease. That is why we are setting up Donor Stations across the country to get DNA matches for a cure.  We have collected over 1000 to date.  Help us America.  No one is immune.  The faster to find a match, the quicker to find a cure.  These diseases cross all socio-economic levels and skin colors.  I know you all will support this and pass this on to others.  Thank you.

Our national DNA blood/marrow donor drives honor the memory of Shannon Tavarez, the 11-year-old star of the "Lion King on Broadway," who died of leukemia in 2010, due to the lack of a blood/ marrow donor. At our donor drives, non-invasive donor swabs will be collected by A Place for Us National (a California 501 c3, since 1984), and sent to the donor bank to find matches for kids waiting to live.  If you can't come to a donor drive, please click on the "gimme five" hand and make a tax-deductible donation.
