I live at, and work for 2 good friends who own and operate Western Pleasure Guest Ranch in Sandpoint, ID ( www.westernpleasureranch.com ). We take folks out in the saddle during the summer season, and on the sleighs during the winter. I have been a songwriter since I was in junior high. I have been taking steps to gain commercial success with my writing since 2004, becoming a member of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International www.nashvillesongwriters.com ), and SongU ( www.songu.com ); 2 great organizations by the way. I'm also a member of BMI. Although I love to play my guitar (and some piano) and sing (do it every Sunday on the church worship team and around the fire at the ranch), my passion is on the writing side of things. If I want to really showcase one of my songs, I leave that in the very capable hands and voices of Nashville's best. I am actively pitching songs to artists when ever I can. I firmly believe that there is a large part of society that is anchored in the God of the universe, strong family values, and the love of this great country we call home. I want to help supply that society with some good music. I have been happily married to my dear wife for over 31 incredible years now. We have 2 younger children who we love with all of our hearts, and who keep us going. I am most definitely conservative in nature, and refuse to believe that this country can not be returned to it's greatness. I don't think God has brought us this far to abandon us. It is going to take a lot of consistent prayer and hard work on all of our parts, but I firmly believe that this mess can be turned around!
You can visit my page at SongU and hit the "Songs" tab if you would like to hear some of the other songs I have written, but heads-up, they're just me and my guitar in worktape form :-).
I have a couple of singles listed on CDBaby for download purchase. Currently, "Get 'Er Done" , and "Hard Times, Tender People" are there for sale (as well as on iTunes and Amazon), or you can go to my Facebook page (Brad Yunek musician/band) and direct link through the "Music Store" widget. Thanks for your interest!
All of the mountain and horse herd pictures below were taken from either our front or back yards here at the ranch. The lake shots are just a few miles from home on one of our boat camping weekends. Are we blessed? Yes we are, and it is one of the countless reasons that we as Americans need to get this nation back on track! We owe nothing less to the generations that will follow. May God continue to bless America, and may we live in such a way that it allows Him to do that!

I just uploaded a new song that I have written. It is about a young soldier-
Spc. Ethan J. Martin was killed in action on August 7th, 2012 in Koragay, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Squadron, 40th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. While in country he was attached to 3 Charlie Company.
Ethan came home to his family here in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on August 17th, 2012. He came home with…Continue
Just finished a feedback class at SongU.com . Workin' on a song that has been heard 5 times now in Nashville, by 4 different sets of pro ears. I've also tossed it out to friends for their opinions on it. To date, it has been rewritten to one degree or another 5 times. This is what a songwriter does when he/she is trying to take a good song, and turn it into a great song. I want all of my songs to…Continue
Interesting to me this morning in church as I played my guitar, helping with our worship team-
We took some time to play a video honoring our veterans. As I stood there looking out over the folks in the congregation while they watched the scenes of American hero's, I noticed a lot of tear filled eyes. It wasn't just the tears that impressed me though, but the intensity of the faces that those tears were running down…
Interesting comparisons with only 40 years between them-
1) 2 presidents; both newly re-elected
2) 2 presidents; both operating under a cloud of suspicion
3) 2 presidents; actively attempting to cover up consequences brought about by poor decisions made
This is where the comparison stops though-
1) 40 years ago, nobody died due to the presidents actions (or lack of action); this time, 4…
