Ole Glory News

"Ole Glory News is a fledging news site, with experienced writers and editors. We fully own and maintain this site on our own.

Our country has slowly but surely lost numerous freedoms, liberties and rights, and all of this increased exponentially since we moved away from our historical stance...being one nation, under GOD. While there is now judicially imposed Separation of Church and State, it was meant to allow the church to have the ability to teach what its doctrine teaches,…

I Hate New Years Eve

I hate new Years Eve. Well, maybe hate is too strong of a word. But, I am glad when it's over.

I sang and played guitar (rhythm and bass) in bands for over twenty years. (Been off that grind for another 20 and don't miss it. but that's another story.) We used to play News Years Eve gigs every year. It was great and it was very not so great.

It was great, because we could charge triple for the night to do the same thing we always did.

It was not so great because people…

"It's All Good!"

According to Reagan, the nine most dangerous words in the English language are, “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” I would be the last person on earth to disagree with the Gipper, so I won’t. I’ll just add the following to make an even dozen;

The three most dangerous words in any language are,

                                                           “It’s all good.”!

I’m really not sure when this little nugget of a saying…

If You Thought War Expensive, Wait Until You Pay for Obama's Peace

Global politics is mostly about resource sharing, like oil. The free flow of oil is the main strategic reason that the US is involved in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia.…

Rule of Law & the Rain in Spain!

The Rule of Law is to the marketplace as gravity is to the universe. Take gravity away from the universe and everything instantly dissolves into disorganized heat energy! – Ann Barnhardt

I know it may seem as if I’ve traded in my suit for the robes of an Ann Barnhardt disciple, but follow me here a moment. First, part of being a songwriter is having the knack of tying ideas together to form a more compelling picture…or song. And second, all my life I’ve…

Christine Havrilla

  I met Christine Havrilla doing video for a Go Girls Music Festival in Monroe Washington, the Music Festival was also a benefit to combat sexual slavery in Nepal,, one of the places on the planet where you'll find such a thing still going on.   10s of thousands of girls kidnapped from there and surrounding countries and forced into the sex trade every year.  So all the women performing at the festival performed for free in support of the cause,, proceeds going to support safe houses…

The Sunday Morning Tune-up, Christmas Edition!

The Eye of the Needle!

Joy to the World, the Lord is come!

Let earth receive her King;

Let every heart prepare Him room,

It was a crystal clear night last night…not a cloud in the sky. And there was this one star that just sort of stood out and hung there…

Just like the child; everything so…

[FWP:Someone had to be first.]

Census has always been an irritant. There are many -- I am one -- who feel it to be intrusive, however necessary it might be. And the costs, both to the government and to the individuals it enumerates, should not be discounted.

I have the trust of certain highly placed persons. Because of my reputation for thoroughness and integrity, at the outset of the last two censuses, the tetrarch has assigned me the…

The Great Republican Con Job!

What a wonderful Christmas Present we Conservatives received from our Republican friends in Congress this Christmas! Not only did they finally accomplish something, they did it in the final hours of their 2011 Session…The House Republicans, led by Speaker Boehner, actually accomplished the impossible! THEY OUT-PERFORMED THE MEDIA AT MAKING BARACK OBAMA LOOK GOOD! Now that’s talent!

And of course that was only our stocking present! The real goodies are under the…

Christmas

Christmas is a time where religious differences appear. The greatest thing missing in the lives of some, is faith in God. The Bible tells us to go and teach the nations. We know that not everyone will believe and that's okay. God gave us free will and the first amendment gives us the freedom of religion. We also have an American tradition, the celebration of Christmas. Christians aren't forcing anyone to celebrate Christ's birth, if you aren't a Christian you are free to celebrate or…
