Good Sunday Morning Dear Friends! And a very interesting week it’s been! We lost power during last Saturday’s record snowstorm. Isn’t it amazing, the things we take for granted…until they’re gone! It’s kind of like God! Those of us who grew up in the world of Webster lived in a well-lit home…even before Consolidated Edison and Orange & Rockland. In the Godless world of Wikipedia however, there isn’t enough wattage in all the power stations combined to remove the creeping shadows at our door.

Fortunately for most of us, just as Dylan pointed out, we don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows…and, we don’t need a Wiki-man to hide what the heart already knows! I want to dive into Providence on this beautiful and glorious Sunday morning…the way a two-year-old dives into a birthday cake! I want to breathe this place in through every pore, and dive down deeper and deeper for more and more and more!

Only in this place can you stand on the gallows, with a noose ‘round your neck, a smile on your face and love in your heart for the man in the black hood!

Only in this place can you write the words that nobody reads, and sing your songs for an audience of one…as if they were everyone under the sun!

Only in this light could you stand naked on a cold winter’s night, because a thousand suns burn so brightly within you!

The rest of the world thinks your crazy, but that’s OK! The rest of the world is snug as a bug in a comatose rug with an MSM Mantovani IV Drip! They have been so anesthetized, they wouldn’t know Jesus if he…brought them back to life! Our challenge is to love them! You and I are taking some serious flak while they are eyeing the buffet table with one eye and searching for the next handout from their host with the other! Who wouldn’t think we’re crazy?

Well I’m here to tell you that we don’t eat at this table! If honor is the gift a man gives to himself, then I am doing myself no favors by accepting the hospitality of dishonor! Spread the word, the time is near for you to choose your way. Providence will know…and hold you so. Know your teacher! Know your friend! Above all…Know yourself!
