Interesting comparisons with only 40 years between them-
1) 2 presidents; both newly re-elected
2) 2 presidents; both operating under a cloud of suspicion
3) 2 presidents; actively attempting to cover up consequences brought about by poor decisions made

This is where the comparison stops though-
1) 40 years ago, nobody died due to the presidents actions (or lack of action); this time, 4 Americans that we know of have died already
