I had the great honor today of performing a song BigDawg and I wrote for Project Healing Waters called "Healing Waters" (well yesterday as it is now 0300 and I am violating my "curfew"...lol)...during their 5th Annual 2-Fly Fishing Tournament...

So many great people -- the wounded heroes, the volunteers, the staff, families, etc...and in spite of the drizzly, chilly weather, a great time was had by all...I was fascinated to watch them standing in that crystal clear river casting their lines....seeing the trout jump out of the water...I didn't have any waders on so I didn't do any fishing...THIS time...next year. 

I was so touched by the feedback I received on our song...how it gave some folks "chills"...made them choke up...shed a few tears...how we somehow managed to capture in our song exactly what our wounded warriors went through...are going through...and how the song gave them "hope"...

There was a film crew there (Steve and Russ Hasty of SJ Hasty Creative Media) filming the event, conducting interviews, etc....and I got a chance to share a few words about how we became involved with Project Healing Waters.  They will be using our song, Healing Waters, in their documentary they are producing for PHWFF.  They will not accept any money from PHWFF...so they are using the KickStarter website (HealingWatersFilm) to raise the money they need to complete a professional, feature length film...they would love to have your support...anything from $1 dollar on up is greatly appreciated to help shine a big light on this outstanding program that helps our wounded warriors begin the healing process...
