It's Sunday night, and our kids are safe in bed. I'm sittin' here exploring some more through The Big Dawg site. As I read about, and listen to the music of more fellow Dawgers, it hits me that we are a diverse bunch of folks. We have different backgrounds. We live in different parts of the country. We make our livings in a multitude of ways. So what brings us together? The answer to that question actually seems pretty simple. What binds us together is the love and respect that we share for this country. The desire that we all maintain for liberty and freedom have been the foundational stones to this nation since we declared our independence to the world. They are the very underpinnings to everything that we hold dear. There is no other nation on the face of the earth that can lay claim to that, and this nation is worth fightin' for! The United States of America is in a group of one when it comes to liberty and freedom. Really, when you think about it, there's not a whole lot that has changed since another diverse bunch of folks, with varied backgrounds came together and stated, "We the people..." So thanks Dawgers, for reminding me! May God continue to bless America, and may we live in a way that allows Him to do that.
