Lisa, I love That Day's music. The harmonica especially knocks me out. Wow. What beautiful harp playing. But I feel an odd disconnect with the lyrics. Somehow I was expecting this to be laid back country song with a nice story about folks hanging out, having adventures on a lazy Southern summer day.
I think this song is a hit if it had a different story to tell. I mean, it's fine doing what it's doing, too, as a 9/11 song, but I think it could serve double duty so to speak. For example, I can imagine it as a soundtrack for any number of TV shows or movies if it had a different lyric, or maybe no lyric at all but as a shorter instrumental featuring that great harmonica playing.
I know there are some conservative filmmakers out there, and they might find the music as useful as I would if I was making a movie and wanted a great Americana music feel to a scene or two.
Great song, though. Love your voice and everything about the music. Great job!
Patty Smith passed your name to me. My name is Richard Ginnaty and I am the host of a web based radio show titled "United and Indepedent (U and I) Radio" and I would love to do a show (30-45 min) on Big Dawg Music Mafia, and you were given to me as the logical connection person. If you want to check out the show, you can visit the web site at www.uandi.info and follow the link to the show. I look forward to talking to you.
Hey there Lisa!! Trying to figure out how to share music on my page from all BIG Dawg artists! I want to be able to have songs play while I'm on my page! How do I do this? This site and all the artists are BLOWING ME AWAY...LOVE IT!!!
