Was a beautiful day for a rally...folks came to listen to Daren Gardner share stories about his Harley ride across America...where he held rallies at the State Capitols of each of the lower 48 states...talking about our Constitution and praying with people across this great nation...Today's rally in Washington, D.C. was his final stop. We even had a visit from George and Martha Washington!

Today was also the same day as the Jon Stewart Restoring Sanity and/or Fear Rally...they were down by the Lincoln Memorial and we were on the north side of the Capitol building...far enough away where their music/crowds did not drown us out...

There was a fairly steady stream of folks going to the Stewart Rally...coming from Union Station, passing right by our rally...I was not a bit surprised to see how few of them (I saw only 2) were carrying American flags...but saw plenty of signs that WE would have been bashed by the media for...some real hateful/distasteful things on some of the signs!

"If it weren't for double standards, the left would have NO standards"...I hear Chris Plante say this all the time on his morning show!

LYRICS:

Not For Sale

"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny;
when the government fears the people, there is liberty." ~ Thomas Jefferson

Can anybody tell me
When it was this bad?
Congress just ignores us
And it's got us fightin' mad!
Like thieves in the night
They voted on a bill
Not a single one of them
Read on Capitol Hill

It wasn't even written yet...

Now, prostitution is illegal
Bribery's a crime
So, how can Congress get away with
Buying votes on our dime?
The President's been gloatin'
Declaring "victory"
High fivin' in the Senate
As they steal our liberties.

Oh, no you don't!

You tax our hard-earned money
To buy the votes you need
Cash for cloture
So votes are guaranteed
Ignorin' your constituents
Now we're mad as hell
We're fighting back with ballots
'Cause our liberty is not for sale.

The Constitution doesn't give
Congress power to rule
We shouldn't fear government
Tyranny's for fools.
Amendment One, Section Eight
Health Care's not the Feds'
To regulate, it's where
You know you shouldn't tread.

Nah, you shouldn't be treadin' there!

You left us no choice
It's time for us to act
You're stealin' our future
Our freedom is under attack
Americans uniting
Fightin' back in 2010
Remember Massachusetts
We're in this fight to win

We'll just vote all y'all out!

Oh, you tax our hard-earned money
To buy the votes you need
Cash for cloture
So votes are guaranteed
Ignorin' your constituents
Now we're mad as hell
We're fighting back with ballots
'Cause our liberty is not for sale.

You've seen in Massachusetts,
Virginia and Jersey too
Ignore WE THE PEOPLE
Come November...you're through!

Hey Congress...can you hear us now?

Yeah, you tax our hard-earned money
To buy the votes You need
Cash for cloture
So votes are guaranteed
Ignorin' your constituents
Now we're mad as hell
We're fighting back with ballots
'Cause our liberty is not for sale.

Not on our watch!
